What’s New in Android [for Advanced Users & Developers]

Now that Android Lollipop v5.0 is official and on the brink of roll-out for Nexus and GPE users, it’s time to sit back, relax, and wait for the OTA to drop by. While we’re at it, it’s a good idea to rehash what’s new in the next major release from Google, so here goes… specially for the developers and advanced users.

Android’s far-from-perfect overall development environment gets a lot of hate from professional developers for the lack of some basic features and robustness.
